For over 100 years, those words, etched on Alumni Gateway and in the hearts and minds of all who pass through it, have served as a visible reminder of Ohio University’s mission. A gift from the Class of 1915 commemorating the 100th anniversary of OHIO’s first graduates, Alumni Gateway also represents a history of philanthropy that has ensured the University’s mission and traditions live on. 

In fiscal year 2018 (July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018), 17,982 OHIO alumni and friends—through donations to The Ohio University Foundation—wrote the next chapter in that history, providing $26,574,476 in support of students, faculty, programming, facilities and community outreach initiatives.

This 2018 Report on Giving provides a snapshot of your philanthropy in service to an Ohio University education and your generosity in action. They represent our storied past, guide our future and celebrate the zest with which supporters of Ohio University find new and enterprising ways to elevate OHIO’s academic endeavors.
